February is a busy month and here are some reminders:
* FOR 3-6 CLASS: On the 14th is Valentine's Day , please bring a shoebox in the next week (week of 2/5/07). We will decorate the box and it will be used to collect the children's valentines. There are 26 children in Miss Tammi's class (25 children in Miss Kay's class). You are welcome, but not required to send Valentines for the children. If you choose to send Valentines please make sure there is enough for one per child and do not write individual names on them because the children are going to distribute the cards themselves. Just help your child sign his or her name on each. We will send the box home at the end of the day so you and your child can enjoy opening the Valentines together.
* There is no school February 15th thru the 19th. We will see everyone back on Tuesday the 20th. The staff will be at a Montessori conference in San Francisco.
* The 22nd is a workshop about the 3-year cycle of the classroom. This is the first time Miss Kay and I have offered a look at the different age groups and the importance of each year.
* Don't forget that recycle days are every other Wednesday. For February we will have recycling on the 14th, 28th, and then on March 14th. Mr. Jeff is looking for parents to help and eventually take over the coordination of the recycling program. Please speak to Mr. Jeff or call the office with any questions.
