A beautiful and celebratory worship experience, uplifting inclusivity and radical hospitality. This year's focus was Resilient Community and Rev. Moses Barrios preached for us and Rev. Eric Hasha presided over communion. We came together to celebrate one of our core values, inclusivity. God's love and acceptance of all people, including our queer and trans siblings!

LEARNING TO BE FREE
Inclusive Conversation: Why are they inclusive of their queer and trans siblings? Three diverse and distinct pastors share parts of their stories. From their upbringing, seminary training, church tradition, biblical interpretation and theological evolution.
Hear from Grace Lee, a Korean-American queer pastor from a United Methodist background. Eric Hasha, a cis-gender white male pastor with a Southern Baptist Convention background. And Moses Barrios, a cis-gender indigenous of Mayan descent and Latino Pastor deriving from Pentecostal and Evangelical roots. All together now serving in a ELCA Lutheran congregation in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
They attempt to answer questions such as: Why do we need inclusive Christian congregations? Why does the majority of Christianity still oppose the full inclusion of the LGBTI community?

As an (RIC) Reconciling in Christ Congregation, we continue to acknowledge that LGBTQI discrimination occurs inside and outside the church. Therefore, we advocate for the full welcome, inclusion, equity and celebration of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Amen for the diversity of God’s people!
